Our mission is to teach our trainees the ability to create and teach Pilates classes for anyone and everyone. Training and familiarity in all Pilates Apparatus. The knowledge and application of movement modifications and variations. The ability to think on their toes during a class flow making changes, and corrections as needed in any group. An in depth understanding of human Anatomy as it relates to Pilates. Dynamic instruction that is motivating, clear, and easy to comprehend even to Pilates beginners. The ability to create a fun, engaging, and welcoming class culture that keeps their clients returning to class again and again. At ASPYN METHOD Teacher Training Program we will teach you all of this and MORE!

Program Key Points:

  • Understanding and teaching the Pilates Fundamentals & Anatomy related to each movement.

  • All levels of the Classical Pilates Method  repertoire on: Mat, Reformer, Tower, Chair, Barrel, Arches, and Jumpboard.

  • Contemporary Pilates movements and routines for  Reformer & Tower group classes.

  • Developing & Mastering Teaching technique  & Applying group class Modifications in real time

  • How to create your own class structure safely and effectively for all levels of experience.

THE PROGRAM:

Through this curriculum, trainees will learn the Pilates technique used for all exercises on every piece of equipment. Trainees will learn in-depth instruction on teaching technique and how to effectively communicate with clients, provide modifications for specific injuries, provide variations in multi level classes, provide a motivating safe environment .

  • In Studio Course Work -108

  • Observation -25

  • Self Practice (Lessons, Workouts, Group Classes) -145

  • Practice Teaching -210

  • Testing-12

In Studio Course Work :

Our coursework curriculum will cover all aspects of becoming a well-rounded Pilates instructor. In studio course work days will cover the history, methods and technique utilized for every exercise on all apparatus, provide additional instruction on teaching techniques, variations, verbal cuing as well as modifications for various injuries and safety issues.

Apprenticeship:

Apprenticeship is where our instructors will hone and develop their skills through observation, practice teaching, and self practice workouts. This is invaluable time spent in the studio that offers each trainee an opportunity to develop their own teaching style while benefiting financially from paid group class teaching with Aspyn Method clients to complete their final 120 hours.

Graduation Requirements:

  • Attend All Coursework Classes

  • Complete Observation Hours

  • Complete Practice Teaching Hours

  • Complete Self Practice Hours

  • Complete case study

  • Pass all written practical and performances with 80% or higher

ENROLLMENT:

Trainees can enroll in courses throughout the year with a $500 non refundable deposit to hold your spot. Our 2022 Courses begin in May and again in January of each calendar year.  Each program is structured to be completed within one year, however all trainees have a maximum of 24 months from the course start date to complete their courses , required hours, and exams.
